“If Babies Could Talk: What They’d Want You to Know about Breastfeeding” is A NEW YouTube Video released by Baby-Friendly NL and produced by Nine Island Productions (November 2015). This video will be used throughout Public Health in NL, as well as shared widely over social media for public education and awareness.
The idea to create this video came from NL women and families on the Baby-Friendly NL Facebook Page as well as the Breastfeeding Support – NL Facebook Group. The purpose is to use the most current breastfeeding research and recommendations to help separate fact from fiction. There is a lot of misinformation being circulated about breastfeeding other newborn behaviours in the first hours after baby is born. This short YouTube video was created with the following key messages in mind to help get breastfeeding off to a good start.
The video was named by Laura Rees, as a part of a Facebook contest during the month of December 2015. Congrats Laura! Thanks to all who submitted suggestions.
Thanks to the breastfeeding moms, babies and supportive partners who volunteered their time to participate in this video. Thanks as well College of The North Atlantic who provided the RT lab for shooting of the video.
